Summer School Positions

It is anticipated that the following assignments will be available for the 2008 summer school session. Applications are currently only being accepted from internal applicants. External applications MH/EC & Intensive Resource Teacher may apply after February 22 nd, 2008. Session is June 16-July 17, 2008 (No school July 4). Four days per week (Monday-Thursday), 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.; Compensation:   $41.94/hour + TRS for 100 hours per summer – 80 hours of student contact and 20 hours of planning per Article XV, Section 1, Paragraph A of the Professional Agreement for current DCTA members. Qualification: Applicants must hold an appropriate IL teaching certificate and be highly qualified in the subject area to be taught. Elementary and Middle School Positions: External candidates may apply after April 30, 2008.

Differential Positions

Temporary and Substitute Positions

Substitute Administrators - $300.00 per day. Type 75 Certificate required.

Substitute Teachers - $100.00 per day. After substitute teaching in the same assignment for fifteen consecutive days, the rate of pay increases to $150.00 per day. Appropriate certification required.

Instructional Assistant Substitutes - $9.93/hour or $74.48/day (requires current Paraprofessional certification)

Health Assistant Substitutes - $9.61/hour or $67.27/day (requires current CPR and First Aide certification)

Non-Instructional Assistant Substitutes - $9.32/hour or $65.24/day

Secretary Substitutes - $10.41 per hour minimum

Custodian Substitutes - $10.50 per hour (day and night shifts)

Student Workers - $7.00 per hour

Tort Assistants - $8.27 per hour

Primary Language Tutors - $8.20 per hour
