As we read the book Leonardo the Terrible Monster, the kindergartners looked for things that make a creature a monster. Afterwards, we created our own monsters with clay and other objects. (Many of our monsters turned out to be friendly- in the end, Leonardo decided that it was better to be nice than to scare boys and girls!)
